I think that the Torah calls us to balance our resource needs and the needs of the future, and to use our best knowledge to take what we need today while not compromising the needs of future generations.  It&#039;s not about sitting in the dark - it&#039;s about making the most of what we have in as sustainable a way as possible.  And we always have to be mindful of the costs of the actions we choose.
