Temple Beth Israel

In keeping with our principles of Ethical Kashrut, we make a commitment to environmental stewardship through our actions. As a congregation, we strive to achieve excellent maintenance of Temple Beth Israel’s synagogue facility and promote everyone’s right to a healthy, quality environment now and for future generations. Temple Beth Israel will adopt Ethical Kashrut guidelines for our community and encourage all individuals, households and organizations to adopt personal and community values that preserve and conserve the environment.
Rabbi Yitzhak Husbands-Hankins, our senior Rabbi, is one of the founding leaders of Ethical Kashrut principles and has guided Temple Beth Israel’s Jewish environmental initiatives.
